Tamariki Takeover is a candid, fun and un–scripted series for 5-9 year olds that gives our tamariki a voice, and a direct insight into their exciting and diverse lives. We allow tamariki to ‘take over’ our cameras (not literally), celebrating what is most important to them, whether it be their love of kapa haka, their home town, their beloved nana or their favourite kai, and then sharing it with us in a funny, light-hearted and positive way that represents them, their culture, their reo, and the world they are living in today. Our tamariki have come into this world at a time when the revitilisation of te reo māori is at its most desperate.

Tamariki takeover is an 80 episode series for the new TVNZ children's platform HEIHEI. We were the first series that was commisioned by NZ on Air to be a part of their launch and it is now being housed on TVNZ on demand.
